A cluster of bars on one side is the footprint of a liquidation cascade: forced orders moving the price into the next layer of liquidation levels.

Liquidations hit hardest when leverage is crowded on one side. Check funding and open interest on Today: high funding with rising open interest means many traders are paying to stay long, and a drop can force them out quickly.

The totals are a floor. They cover USDT-margined perpetuals on Binance and Bybit only, and Binance reports at most one liquidation per coin each second.
