The last 24 hours produced a split between price and participation.
Bitcoin followed equities lower, but the capital underneath did not move in step.

Bitcoin slid to around $81,400 as Asian chip stocks tumbled and options traders bought downside protection. On the 12-hour chart it sits about 1% below its 20-period EMA, with the slope still pointing down. Fear and Greed has fallen from 71 a month ago to 55.

Nothing broke. The market leaned the same way equities did, with oil back above $100 and rate-hike worries doing the leaning. Friday's US flash PMIs are the next macro print on the calendar.

The options bid matters as much as the spot move. Buyers of protection are not selling their coins; they are paying to keep them. JPMorgan's first published range for bitcoin, roughly 10% annual returns over a decade, landed the same morning: a long-horizon view arriving into a short-horizon hedge.

ETF flows told a narrower story. IBIT took in roughly $665 million on Monday while Fidelity's FBTC gave up $83.6 million and Grayscale's GBTC shed $54.9 million. The group total of $526.6 million hides how much of the bid landed in one vehicle.

It also followed a Friday of net withdrawals. Flows reversed as fast as sentiment did, and they are evidence of subscriptions and redemptions, not a direct read of new cash buying at a given hour.

Altcoins moved the other way. More than 6 billion XRP reached exchanges over 30 days, the most since March, as large holders stepped aside. That is why exchanges lose bitcoin during rallies in reverse: supply arriving at the venue instead of leaving it.

SkyAI sold its entire SOL position and opened a tender offer worth up to roughly $201 million. Solana's Alpenglow upgrade is due tomorrow, and the treasury still chose cash.

The Structural Read

Three threads, one shared feature: concentration. Price followed the most liquid risk asset, equities. ETF demand collected in the most liquid wrapper. Selling showed up where holders could reach cash fastest.

When conditions tighten, the market does not thin evenly. It narrows toward the deepest venue.

A $526.6 million net inflow reads as strength until the breakdown shows who received it. Tokens on exchanges read as pressure until you remember they are an option to sell, not a sale. Neither signal is as clean as its headline.

The day did not reveal a direction. It revealed where liquidity prefers to stand when equities wobble.
